Western food bar, on the side of Cambridge Street, the environment is very elegant, quiet and comfortable. The combination of dishes and drinks is amazing and very beautiful. The taste is superb, absolutely enjoyable.

Hakka Seafood Chinese Restaurant, this is also a relatively advanced restaurant, their steak is really super good. It is also highly recommended by the chef. There is also a hot and sour soup that is also very delicious.

The net red restaurant in Cambridge, serving vegetarian food, tastes good, even my meat eater is very happy.

We always meet with friends for a meal on Christmas Eve and this year chose the Old Spring. The ambience is nice but the food wasn’t great and didn’t match up to other venues that we have been to on previous years. It’s a shame as I have been there before on work lunches and was expecting better. Not sure I’d recommend or go again. The staff were very attentive and helpful but unfortunately the quality of the food wasn’t up to scratch on this occasion.

Food was ok. Nice surroundings but the table service was shocking.  Waited ages to be asked for our order. No drink order up front, just everything all at once.  The waitress insisted on committing our order to memory before coming back twice to ask again what we ordered.  Once our main meal was served we saw nothing more of our inattentive waitress. No check to see if the food was ok. No asking if we wanted another drink. No dirty plates taken away. No asking if we wanted pudding. Eventually managed to order a coffee which was met with the same indifference as the rest of our orders. Coffee turned up cold. So reordered and was delivered with no apology. Shocking service and lets the place down as the food was pretty good.

The standard of the food was very poor. The waitress arrived with our mains when we had only just been given our starter. The dessert was just awful this was not a baileys cheesecake at all but more a cereal bowl with a biscuit base and cream topping and we did give feedback. I will never return and would not recommend this as a gastro pub

Awful food

Very pleasant as a pub.  Good atmosphere.  Food pretty average.  Tried the Greek menu.   In the specials menu so some had run out, but that&apos;s fair.  Food was decent portions but a little uninspiring.  Would go back  for a drink but not to eat. I was expecting more  from gastro pub.  Perhaps other options on menu would have been more complex.

My Waygu beef burger was a tale of two halves … but largely excellent.  Plus points – GREAT beef pattie; flavoursome, tender, meltingly moist. - The burger did NOT have a stupid bamboo stake through it, sufficient to kill a vampire. That usually a sign that an establishment has no idea how to ‘build’ a proper burger. - Flavoursome crispy bacon.  Minus points – It was my turn to get the gherkin peelings; not gherkin slices, just skin! See picture. - For the extra £2, the amount of cheddar cheese was microscopic. - The generous slice of beefsteak tomato was so unripe as to be tough. It needed several more days on a sunny windowsill before serving to anyone.  It was as if my burger had been assembled by two chefs – the good chef and the evil chef! Luckily, good chef won 😊  PS – check your website – the word “Menus” should NOT have an apostrophe in it (see picture)
